One of the Highlights of my trip was my stay at Culloden Estate and Spa in Northern Ireland. Staying at this 5* property is like taking a step back in time and from the moment you arrive, you are treated like Royalty !! Thanks to Eoin McGrath for hosting me and the amazing staff that make you feel like part of the Royal family. BTW – the hotel is 1st choice for many VIP guests and regularly frequented by Liam Neeson, Sir Van Morrison, Bono, Jamie Dornan …. Apparently Liam Cunningham (The Hand from Game of Thrones) was there at the same time as me !!! Didn’t actually see him though 🙁

Originally built as an official palace for the Bishops of Down, the Culloden stands on 12 acres of beautiful secluded gardens and woodland. The estate has 105 luxurious bedroom suites, 11 luxurious apartments, 5 banquet areas and a state of the art Spa. Culloden is just 10 minutes from Belfast City centre (train is a 5 minute walk away) and is conveniently located to many of Northern Ireland’s major visitor attractions.

Guests at the hotel can also enjoy an extensive range of dining and options. A sumptuous Afternoon tea in the Drawing Room, Fine Dining in the Mitre Restaurant or relax by the fire in the cosy Cultra Inn.  (I did all 3 !!) The food is gourmet and delicious. (Fine dining with Chef Paul McKnight) I particularly enjoyed my Full Irish Breakfast every morning.
